The Lodge
As a member of the Buck Ridge Ski Club, you have access to the Woodbridge Lodge. A rustic country lodge in
southern Vermont just a few miles north of Mount Snow ski area.
About the Lodge
The Woodbridge Lodge provides members with a comfortable and affordable “home away from home” throughout the year. From the purchase in 1958 of little more than a one room cabin (complete with outhouse, wood stove for heat, and water from a spring several hundred yards down the road) it has grown through the sustained efforts of club members to what it is today. While it is still nothing grand, it can accommodate up to 18 in 3 bunkrooms, has 2 full kitchens, large and small dining areas, 2 showers, and 3 bathrooms.
In addition to being convenient to southern Vermont ski resorts, it provides a fine base of operations for recreation year ’round. For white water boaters, the water releases on the West River in Vermont and Deerfield River in Massachusetts are an easy drive. Hikers will find it a quick 15 minutes to the Appalachian Trail and, in winter, to the Catamount Trail for cross-country skiing. And if you are looking for more leisurely pursuits, It is under an hour to shopping and cultural activities in Manchester or Brattleboro.
Use is by advance reservation. And while peak ski season can see it fill quickly, summer users will often find they have their own private getaway.
